About Us
The Path/パス is an online bilingual journal of arts, culture, and entertainment bringing you in-depth reviews, news, and analysis on the hottest properties in sci-fi fantasy film, television, and gaming. Through in-depth research on intellectual properties and major franchises, we develop content covering your favorite books serieses, films, games, and shows, such as The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, Lord of the Rings, House of the Dragon, Fallout, and Shogun.
Established in 2019 in anticipation of Netflix’ release of The Witcher, The Path has slowly expanded from covering the works of CD Project Red based on IP from Andrzej Sapkowski and Mike Pondsmith to offering holistic coverage of the best franchises in the sci-fi/fantasy and adjacent genres. From Spring 2024 onward we have shifted into an array of bilingual content, offering most of our articles in both English and Japanese. We take particular pride in producing some of the best writing on FX’s Shogun on the web.
The Path was founded by current Editor Benjamin Rose while an undergraduate at the Catholic University of America. Its core staff currently consists of Rose and Staff Writer/Web Developer Luis plus Staff Writer/Translator Olivia Snyder.

ザ・パスについて
「ザ・パス」（「道」）は、芸術・文化・エンタメを取り上げるバイリンガルのオンライン雑誌。サイエンスフィクションとファンタジー系の大人気映画・テレビシリーズ・ゲームの徹底的なレビュー、ニュース、分析や解説などを提供している。知的財産とメジャーなフランチャイズを深く調べることで読者および視聴者の皆さんの大好きなシリーズ本、映画、ゲーム、テレビシリーズについて新鮮なコンテンツを作っている。主に『ウィッチャー』、『サイバーパンク２０７７』、『ロード・オブ・ザ・リング』、『ハウス・オブ・ザ・ドラゴン』、『フォールアウト』、そして『SHOGUN 将軍』を取材している。
ネットフリックスの『ウィッチャー』シリーズの公開に備えて、２０１９年に「ザ・パス」を確立した。それ以降、アンドレイ・サプコフスキとマイク・ポンスミスが制作したIPに基づくCD PROJEKT REDを中心にしたコンテンツから広げて、SF・ファンタジーとそれに隣接するジャンルの一流のフランチャイズを全体的アプローチで取材している。２０２４年の春から様々なコンテンツをバイリンガルで提供するようになり、多くの記事を英語と日本語で掲載している。私たちはFXシリーズ『SHOGUN 将軍』を取材するネット上の最もクオリティ高いオンライン雑誌の一つとして誇りに思っています。
「ザ・パス」は、編集長ベンジャミン・ローズが学部学生としてアメリカ・カトリック大学に通っている間に設立された。現在の中核スタッフはローズ、スタッフライター・ウェブ開発者のルイス、そしてスタッフライター・翻訳者のスナイダー・オリビアで構成されている。
